(Reed, 2011)  50+”  MLa  8”  dormant, diploid, Unusual Form

         Exotic Ruby red, with a darker red eye and a large yellow-to-green throat, this bloom is a huge cascade Unusual Form.  It can easily reach 60”, with 2-3 way branching and a bud count of about 16.  This one stands up to thunderstorms and impulse sprinklers, but not recommended for high wind areas.  It’s tall, huge form would tempt the winds!   It is a variable form (would measure larger but it recurves and cascades), ruffled and curling.   Holds up to sun and 100 degree temps fine.     Parentage:  (“ASD” seedling  x  Kirsten Madeline Burkey).    About ten plants available.

      This light purple cascade with a very green throat began in early June, and is finishing at the end of July (a bud builder!).  A cool color, with diamond dusting, it recurves and cascades.  2-way branching with a bud count of about 20.  Parentage unknown.
