Tetraploid 36" Mid season  Dormant emo fr 7.5" 3-4 way branching  18-22 buds. Fertile both ways. Rebloomer.  First of its kind in tetraploid UFO's. It is my best broken pattern breeder.  It stamps the patterns on its kids. The broken loss of color is a dominant trait, easily passed on to the kids.    Flowers are garnet red with a green throat. Both sepals and petals are patterned. Flowers are UFO crispate and cascade.

These clear, dark burgundy flowers have sharply contrasting glittery gold edges. The 5” to 5.5” flowers bloom in the mid-season on 26” scapes with 3 branches, 18 to 20 buds. The full rich color holds all day. SEV. Tet.

BLUEBERRY DREAM  (Stamile, P. -  Pierce 2011) TET 7218 {(Calling All Angels x Precious Candy) x Sense of Wonder} 28” E Re, Fr. EV, 5.5” 5 way branching, 30 buds.

 The light orchid based petals have a large bulls eye eye of dark blueberry purple, and has the matching coloration in the picotee. The blueberry picotee is then edged in white silver/white knobs. green throat  Easily fertile both ways.

BLUE DUDE (Rice, J & A 2007)  Tet "Big and Beautiful" This large, bitone flower has blue-lavender petals with a violet watermark and subtle white midribs highlighting the center of each petal. 6 to 6.5 inch flowers on 29 inch scapes with 3 to 4 branches. Strong plants with dormant foliage.Mid season.

(Morss) 28” ML Re Ex Ev 4 7 /15”. The color is clear – in shades of violet with a blue violet watermark eye and yellow-to-green throat. Somewhere in shades between violet and indigo, is the color of the blue-violet watermark (mirage) eye. The form is full with wide, overlapped, tightly ruffled segments. The texture is smooth and silky. This plant is extremely pod and pollen fertile, giving exceptionally clear seedlings with patterns, watermarks and eyes in the “blue” realm. Strongly recurrent scapes. Very fertile.

Butterfly King is cream yellow flower with a butterfly pattern, consisting of blues, oranges, whites, purples, violets, and maroon colors. Colors are also carried around the petal edges. I had garden name as Jagged eye, because of the jagged outer maroon eye zone. Imagine if we could get these jagged streaking's to cover the flower. Some small jagged teeth are sometimes seen. A good parent for producing Butterfly patterns

Tetraploid 30" Midlate season Hard Dormant emo fr 7.5" 3-4 way branching  15-18 buds. Fertile both ways. Rebloomer


Cave Lion is a polychrome orange yellow flower. The petals are surrounded by long filigrees and tendrils. They are just covered with 24 carat diamond dusting. A rare color combination. A great parent for producing a different look.

28” E Re Ex Sev 6”. Mother Nature outdoes herself with this one. The flower is an intensely saturated, bright persimmon orange self with splashes of pink infusion, especially on the sepals. The color is clear with great carrying power. An EMO, the sublime, sculptural form is petaloid style with ruffles, loops and tentacles. Fine color fastness, smooth finish and great consistency are its hallmark. Recurrent, well-branched scapes. Pollen has yielded phenomenal seedlings from orange – coral-rose. Pods are moderately reluctant. 99% double

*COIT TOWER (Stamile, P.)  2010 TET  8111-B  (Magical Mystery Show x Midnight Candy)  42” EMre  Fr. Ex. Ev. Crispate 6 ½” 5 way branching, 40 buds.    Our tallest full form to date at 42” high. A tower in the garden.  The dark purple petals are edged in white bordering the black picotte.  What makes Coit Tower unique too, is her crispate pinched petals, giving her an extra flare.     Fertile Both ways

(Kirchhoff 2008) 22” – 26” EE Re Ex Fr Ev 5” - 6”. Pink, pink pink! Pink is the hallmark of this pastel, coral, peach pink of exceptionally wide proportioned and exquisitely formed Double blossoms! An Early Morning Opener, the beautiful buds show great rose pink color, with fully opened flowers lasting for nearly 24 hours. The form is petaloid, and the outer petals tend to roll back as the temperature rises into the nineties. The scapes are strongly recurrent, with 3 way branching. This one reblooms up to 3 sets in Kentucky! Fertile both ways. 99.9% Double.

Rice, J & A 2011  6” flowers x 34” tall, mid season. 2-3 branches, dormant, tetraploid.  Sunset yellow and desert sand with rose infusions. Very fringy  golden edges, especially on the petals.  Fertile both ways.

Fire Blast is a hot flaming red with a whiter red watermark. Throat is very green. Flowers are UFO crispate. As you can see in lower photo Fire Blast has super 5 way branching. A difficult trait to get in such a large flower.

True spider Ratio is 9.1 to 1 UFO Viarable crispate-cascade

 

Giant Spider is the narrowest daylily Jamie has introduced. Ratio can be variable do to growing conditions. Color is a garnet red with a very green throat.

Diploid 33" Mid season Dormant emo fr 13" 3 way branching  18 buds. Fertile both ways. Rebloomer


Giant Teratorn is the biggest diploid daylily Jamie has introduced to date. The Wing spand is over 16 inches. Converted, who knows, may be 20 inches. It is a hard Dormant. Grows in zone 7, but much happier in zone 5. Color is lavender pink with deeper maroon pink eyezone. Throat is yellow green. It is a UFO cascade and true spider with ratio of 7.5 to 1.

Rice, J & A,  - 2010  38” mid-late 6.50" dormant, 3 branches, 19 buds, TET Garden visitors and daylily aficionados as well as daylily new-bees, have gravitated immediately to this energetic ball of fire!  It’s brightness glares out and doesn’t extinguish at all even after a full hot sunny day of showing  itself off! The sparkling gold edge seems to sprinkle out with gold tendrils and hooks completing it’s ode to the Gods of solar power.

30” E Re Ex Ev 7”  The color is medium orchid with a half-inch wide purple border, and lilac splashed filigree. This purple edge (flecked with shades of lilac) is encircled with yellow gold filigree and elaborately embellished with talons and sparkles of diamond and amethyst. The eye shows phenomenal color saturation in imperial purple, above the yellow to green throat. The EMO form is full, quite flat, overlapped, and widespread. Many cross tags will read GSTQ, because H. ‘God Save The Queen’ is a very fertile parent both ways. Its kids easily display embellished double and triple edges. The strongly recurrent scapes are branched 3-4 ways, with 26 or more buds

Green Python is a green crispate-cascade true spider. Flower color is a chartreuse green with a very green throat. Spider ratio is 6.3 to 1. A very good parent for green hybridizing

Flowers of Hawkwoman are lavender pink, with bitone sepals and green throat. Unlike its parent TIME TO FLY, HAWKWOMAN appears to be flying in mid-air. Flowers are patterned with double arrow heads of lighter and darker pink.  Flowers are huge, stretching out to 13 inches.  Hawkwoman meets both the cascade UFO and spider requirements. Spider ratio is 4.12 to 1. A very good flower for producing huge patterned UFO's and true spiders

(Rice, J & A 2011) 5.5” flowers x 44” tall, mid to mid-late, 3-4 branches, dormant, tetraploid.  Pale rose with light yellow edges on all segments and teeth on the petals. An unusually tall, toothy daylily. Fertile both ways.

  HYBRIDIZER'S TRUFFLE

(Kirchhoff 2008) 36” M Re Ex Ev 5 ½”. This unique Double is a medium orchid and ivory lavender bitone with a strong lilac watermark halo. Throat is yellow to green. Form is petaloid style, widespread, and overlapped. Color is clear and sunfast. Substance holds well in hot sun. Blooms can have great variation in form and markings. Extremely fertile both ways and a great parent for taller scapes, bitones and lavender/orchid/amethyst/purple offspring. 3 way branching and 20 buds. 98% Double.

(Rice, J & A, 2010) 5.5” x 35” late season, dormant, 4 branches, 21 buds, TETCelebrate the reverence of the feminine wiles. Gracing us at the later part of the season, she comes forth with all of her class and allure.  The light pink is a sweet reminder that she is all girl, yet with her branching she says I am no pushover!  HYMN TO HER is a tribute to all those who can identify with her magical charms.

(Rice, J & A, 2009)   6” x 29”, mid-late, semi-evergreen, 4-5 branches, TET  Metal grey-lavender petals with grayed violet watermark, green throat and narrow white ruffled edges. Blooms for over a month in Kentucky hybridizer's garden.

(Rice,J&A, 2007)  This amazing flower draws you in with her very large, creamy watermark which is crowned by the reddish burgundy pinched petals with golden edges. Her unusual form, large stature and natural beauty have made her one of the top garden favorites.  The bicolor blooms are 5.5" to 6" on 38 inch scapes which have 3 or 4 branches. Bloom starts in the early mid season and there is often rebloom.

(Morss 2011) 30” M Re Ex Ev 5”. A quick glance and one sees a green overlay to this lovely pastel yellow with double to triple zone, web-pattern eyezone. The patterned eye is shades of lavender and purple, with a wine outline that sets it off to great effect. The piecrust edge repeats the colors in the eyezone and it often sprouts a pretty set of teeth. Its large throat is yellow to green and the shape is quite flat. The texture is smooth; substance is heavy; color is sunfast. Fertile. Scapes have three way branching and 20-25 buds.

Diploid 42" Mid season Semi evergreen emo fr 8.5" 3-4 way branching  18-22 buds. Fertile both ways. Rebloomer


Magic Maker is  a 8 1/2 inch candy lavender orchid flower. Color is one of a kind. Magic Maker has a whiter edge around both petals and sepals. Throat is extremely green. Eye zone is a deep orchid purple. Form is UFO cascade. The color and green throat which is passed onto the kids are incredible. Many years ago I got a Ra Hansen flower from Dan with great color, the first seedling, pod parent was the seedling. Thanks Dan and Ra! She had some colors that I have never seen in daylilies, it was never introduced. Magic Maker carries on her line. This flower is a true magic maker in the seedling patch. One gets an extremely large amount of keepers.
