We are very glad that you have found our corner of the web. The Charlottesville Daylily Club (ChDC) serves the central and western portions of Virginia. Charlottesville is located in the foothills of Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains. The area in and around Charlottesville has been ranked among the most beautiful areas and is home to many historical landmarks and events.

We are putting together many exciting activities for 2012.  John and Annette Rice of THOROUGHBRED DAYLILIES are coming to speak at our Club meeting on MARCH 10th, 2012.  Their presentation is going to be spectacular, something not to be missed! The Potluck luncheon will start at 1:00pm, and the presentation will begin at 2:00pm.  The Rices are planning to bring certificates for several of hteir cultivars to be auctioned off at the end of the presentation.  ALL ARE INVITED TO JOIN IN ANY OF OUR MEETINGS AND EVENTS.  Please join us at one of the events listed on our events calendar!  We'd love to have you.

The Cultivar you see on our Welcome page is John Rice's 2011 introduction, DERBY DAY*.  A beautiful introduction!   We have several of the Rice introductions in our Plants For Members program that are due to come back for auction in the fall of 2013.  Thanks, John and Annette, for allowing us the opportunity to have this wonderful plant in our program!!  You can visit the Thoroughbred Daylilies website at: Thoroughbred Daylilies.
